The following coaches have received either travel funds or coaching stipends for holding archery camps for the AASF.

Alexander Kirillov

Master Coach Alexander Kirillov

Alexander Kirillov is a 3 time Olympic Coach who has worked with top level archers in the United States since 1992.   In 1977, Alexander Kirillov earned a USSR university degree in physical education, specializing in archery coaching. From 1977-1992 he served as a professional coach in the Soviet Union, coaching archers to world championship medals, world record holders, and Olympians, earning him the highest and most esteemed coaching certification available to a Soviet coach.

In 1992, Kirillov emigrated to the United States and started an illustrious career coaching national champions, world team members, and Olympians. In 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2018, he was named National Coach of the Year by the National Archery Association and the United States Olympic Committee.

 

Coach Michael Wichser

Michael Wichser

For 35+ years, Michael Wichser has been involved in archery as a shooter and coach. In 1992, he started the WCW Ed Eliason JOAD program with the help of Alexander Kirillov. Since that time, there has been great success at the JOAD level – many national champions, world team members, and national team members. In the last three years, Wichser has been the only coach in the state of Washington to seat Junior United States Archery team members. In 2008 and 2011, Wichser received the Developmental Coach of the Year award from the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).
