What We Do

The American Archery Scholarship Fund (AASF) was founded to support promising archers with funds for coaching, travel, and equipment.

We believe that we can help develop high level archers for the US National Team with support during their formative years.

Committed archery athletes travel domestically and internationally to compete against the best archers in the world. This is expensive and out of reach for most athletes. With help from the AASF, the much needed financial support can be provided by supplementing the resources that separate these promising athletes from achieving their archery goals and dreams.

The American Archery Scholarship Fund (AASF) is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization which has been created to provide competitive archers in the United States with the support needed to succeed at the international and Olympic levels.

We support archers and clubs by providing funds for:

  • Individual archers to travel to and work with high level coaches
  • Archers to compete in national and international competitions
  • Training camps with high level coaches for promising archery clubs
  • High level coaches to travel to national and international tournaments where they can support promising athletes

Our commitment is to use donated funds for our archers.  The AASF is staffed completely by volunteers and currently spends over 95% of its’ revenue for direct support of archers and coaches.

Primary Goals

The AASF funds will be used to provide the following: ƒ Training and equipment support for archers. ƒ Travel funds for archers to work with our coaches and attend competitions.  ƒ Travel funds for our coaches to support these archers at competitions.

Our Success

Alexander & Mike w/ AASF National Team

AASF coaches have worked tirelessly for the past 30+ years to perfect the training regimen that today is producing the top archers in the world. Their success is unparalleled; in the last three years from 2012 through 2014, they trained and seated up to 60% of the Junior United States Archery Team and up to 40% of the Senior team. In addition, they fielded one of the three members of both the outdoor and indoor 2013 Junior World Archery Teams. This is a growing trend that continues to build with each passing year. This year they will be working with some of the top archers in each age category in the US. Unfortunately the costs needed to keep the competitive edge are increasing and for AASF to be self-sustaining we need additional funding.
