The American Archery Scholarship Fund is a group of volunteers who believe that aspiring archers should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Robert I Park, MD
Executive Director, AASF

Dr. Bob Park is a practicing retina surgeon, engineer, avid competition archer and USA Archery certified coach.  Dr. Park has competed in Olympic style archery since  2004 and is a former North Carolina State champion. He has competed in numerous national competitions and shot at the US Olympic Trials in 2011 and 2015.   He currently lives with his wife and children in Asheville, NC, where he practices medicine and provides biomedical engineering consulting services.  Dr. Park feels strongly that archers in the United States need consistent support to be able to succeed at the national and international levels.

 

 

Taego “Tiger” Park (no relation to Robert Park)
Director, Tucson, AZ

Tiger has been involved in archery for about 7 years since his son Andrew began competing at age 11.  Tiger is an active certified USA Archery coach and an aerospace engineer, living in Tucson, AZ with his wife since 1999.  He is proud to work with the AASF to ensure that all archers can have the kind of support and affirmation they need to perform to their full potential.

 

 

Dean Tateyama
Director, Honolulu, HI

Dean Tateyama is a Director of Finance at Hawaii Pacific Health and has been working in Healthcare Finance for over 28 years.  Dean is also a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) where he has served as President of the Hawaii Chapter in 2004-2005 and a three year term with HFMA’s National Board of Examiners (2007-2010).   In his free time, Dean enjoys fishing and supporting his daughters passion for archery where he serves on the Board of Directors for the 50th State Archery club.

 

DeAnna Puls
Director, Seattle, WA

DeAnna Puls is a level 4-NTS USA Archery certified coach and Olympic recurve archer.  She competes regularly, and recently represented the United States at the 2018 World Field Archery Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.  She is currently finishing graduate studies in Sport and Performance Psychology, and is dedicated to working with athletes on mental skills and techniques.  She has lived in Seattle, WA since 2010 with her husband and three children (all of whom are competitive archers), and enjoys fiber arts and traveling.
